Medium description: | International Correspondence Schools of Scranton, Pennsylvania issue correspondence courses in English for French speakers and French and German for English speakers. Courses included Edison cylinders of the complete course text read by native speakers. Kelly (1969) states that the courses were issued in 1902 & 1903 but doesn't say which ones in each year. He also says that ICS included a modified Edison machine capable of allowing students to loop parts of the recording repeatedly without damaging the cylinders. | ||||
